A neon across the switch terminals would probably not work in this setup, as the neon may well pass enough current to constantly trigger the fan.

To use the flag switch you pictured just take the permanent live (c) and place in live in on flag switch and from live out on flag switch back to s/live on 3 pole isolator/fan
