Discuss Can tubular heaters be mounted vertically? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net
Why would mounting a tubular heater be a problem Percyprod? I can't see a problem, in all honesty. As in title, can a tubular heater be mounted vertically? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me, but it would settle an argument if some one could answer.
I suppose if it's mounted with the flex entry at the bottom the resistance of the flex would come into play what with the electric having to go uphill.Every one I've fitted must be mounted horizontally, the instructions always state this. It makes sense as the heat loss is even, if mounted vertically it is likely the high end would overheat
