the best thing to do is to actually hold the hand tools in your hands. i really like wiha pliers and long nose and there snips are good but im using bahco now

not bad. the makita has a lot more torque. 88nm compared to the dewalts 60odd.
the dewalts batteries take 40mins to charge and the makita batteries 22mins
you want at least 70nm torque for drilling joists.

have a look on youtube for reviews if you like.
i like makita but you cant knock bosch/milwaukee, i dont know anyone that has killed one

I find ffx a good place to get power tools from. Get an 18v drill and then you can interchange batteries with other 18v kit as you build up. That'd be my advice. I like bosch stuff myself but as others have said just stick to a well known big name brand and you'll be good to go.

yes ive just been in screwfix. pay the extra £50 for another 3ah battery though.
£150 for drill and 2x3ah batteries is a good buy (havent checked drill specs yet)
they say its there most powerful 18v drill but thats a lie there robusta series 18v drills are a lot more powerful
