Convert switch controlled outlet to no switch?

I have a bedroom wall outlet controlled by a standard switch. My end goal is to install a ceiling fan and use the existing switch to turn the fan on/off (power only, speed and light can be controlled with the fan's pull chains). The outlet box currently connected to the switch has 3 cables: two 2+1s (black, white and ground) and a 3+1 (black, white, red, and ground). The switch is just a 2+1. Is there a way to manipulate this setup so that I could pull one of the wires out of the wall outlet back up into the ceiling so that a new ceiling fan could be connected to the wall switch? pics of the switch and wall box wiring. Also not sure where that red wire goes, no other outlets or switches in the circuit.

The picture of the back of the receptacle is not clear enough to see what connects where; a sketch of the connections and/or more revealing pic would assist.. The three cables are probably feed, loop out to the next outlet and the switch cable. Therefore the fan would probably need a new cable either to the switch box or outlet box.

I have to agree with @Lucien about you will need a cable from the switch to the ceiling fan.
