Hello
I am trying to repair two dimplex storage heaters. They are on dual supply from a split CU, but unfortunately I don't have access during the night which means I can't check whether the power is getting to the elements. Do you suggest continuity across the elements and from the Consumer unit then functional test input high output low. Or are there other things I could look at? Is there a thermal cutout and if so where? They are CXL range.
Any ideas would be appreciated

the dimplex do have thermal cut outs they are normally below the controll panel for input output just a small little button , if you use you test kit to test continuity to the elements take each connection to the element and test each element first then in situe across the supply terminals dont forget to make sure the local isolator is switched off when you do this, also test the IR join the LN together and test between this and the Earth ,

Or if less than 3kw why not rig temp supply via flex and 13A plugtop. old dimplex s heaters had a thermal link next to the stat knob on top of heater that would burn out in the event of overheat
