I replaced a door on a 99 GMC Jimmy with a old 98 door and the wiring was a little different, the 99 had 15 color coded cables and the 98 had just 10, I matched the colors that I could and taped the other 5 cables. Once I put the door back together I could only adjust the mirrors and lock/unlock the truck. None of the windows work now including the sunroof. All I really need is the two front windows to be functional. Im sure it would take a Auto Electrician little time to figure out.

Take the original 99 wiring loom from the damaged door and fit it to the new 98 door you have used,
should be much quicker than trying to figure out the purpose of each cable.
