Hi all, got a heating system to connect up soon with oil burner and back boiler. Have recently disconnected the heating system as hot press is being moved. Not your usual set up, the oil burner is controlled via a apt time switch that also outputs to a single pole switch that can turn on a hot water motorised valve.
The back boiler pump has a switched fuse spur taken from ring circuit with a cylinder stat in circuit.
As house is being partly rewired thought I'd run a separate supply for heating, then from new supply in hot-press feed the apt timeclock that turns oil burner on and keep the single pole switch that operates the motorised valve, except I will add a cylinder stat to control the temperature of hot water.
Then the pump for back boiler will have a switched fuse connecting with the stat in parallel, think it goes on return from back boiler to bring pump on automatically incase switch isn't turned on.
Hope this makes sense, just looking confirmation that it is ok to connect like I have described. Not sure of best way to connect a dual heating supply, if anyone knows of a better way of doing it please let me know thanks.
