EICRs are not required to be uploaded anywhere. They might even be hand written. If the EICR was done last year, shouldn't it be online?
Can't he just download the certificate?
Seems there maybe more to this than just , unqualified Sparky's, have a feeling he's covering up something that he can't afford to pay for.If the EICR was done last year, shouldn't it be online?

We're NIC. They REALLY don't like paper.EICRs are not required to be uploaded anywhere. They might even be hand written.
He can afford it.Seems there maybe more to this than just , unqualified Sparky's, have a feeling he's covering up something that he can't afford to pay for.
Unfortunately, a lot of landlords have the deep pockets, short arms thing.Seems there maybe more to this than just , unqualified Sparky's, have a feeling he's covering up something that he can't afford to pay for.
He should be able too I've paid just over 45k in rent here, and I know he has at least 4 more properties. Thanks for responses guys appreciate it very much, been a great help l! If any of you have a leaky roof hit me up haha.He can afford it.
BBC Rough Traders...... Local rag.... MP!Might be worth while contacting Citizens Advice.
Dunno what that means haha. It's an NICEIC label too.
Spoke to council this afternoon getting a call back tomorrow from them, this will be the second time! Had to do this over the roof... I offered to fix the damn thing for free just as long as he provided scaffolding and mats... Instead he paid his mate roofer (never seen a roof) a stupid amount to do it, which resulted in me fixing his mess anyways.BBC Rough Traders...... Local rag.... MP!

This is the problems aswell, have to tred very carefully in these situations, but I have kids in the house, now I have proof and reassurance this place is unsafe, time to let the polite Tennant leave the building, and let the idiotic roofer come out to play!!! Lol........ Eviction notice......... Homeless.
Wow......... Eviction notice......... Homeless.
He is, he was a labourer along time ago, so he seems to think he knows everything about any trade. Some people really shouldn't be renting houses out. Can't believe he wouldn't let you do it. He sounds like a right tool.
A LITTLE knowledge is almost always a dangerous thing. He is, he was a labourer along time ago, so he seems to think he knows everything about any trade.
Jack of trades master of none!A LITTLE knowledge is almost always a dangerous thing.
Double post sorryA LITTLE knowledge is almost always a dangerous thing.
I think the landlord would find himself with a much larger problem than rogue traders etc........ Eviction notice......... Homeless.
That inspection sticker has the wrong date on it.
It's the second timeI don't think you could get GET rcbos. I think that's the first time I've written get get.

They just say “I can't afford to do it” and obviously it can't be lived in because as you say it's dangerous, so I have no choice but to let you find other accommodation.Would they?
If they follow the proper procedure for eviction there's nothing the tenant can do about it.
I've seen it a couple of times when I used to do work for a local lettings agent. When tenants asked for reasonable repairs and the quote was a bit expensive it all went quiet for a few months and then I was back there testing the appliances in the empty property ready for the next tenant/victim to move in.

Pat test ?
I rent out 2 houses, never had appliances tested.
First thing I'd check is polarity. Has the meter installer reversed the polarity, either making it wrong now or making it right when it was wrong before? This is the only thing I can think of that could conceivably cause immediate RCD tripping after a meter change
Wouldn't cause tripping in itself, of course, but would, if there was a particular common, pre existing, serious fault..
Wow.
You really poured some sunshine on that.
Agreed, in fact in this part of the country rented properties are getting like gold dust and prospective tenants offering to pay 6 months rent in advance. It wasn't intended to be fun, it was intended to point out that tenants who annoy the landlord get evicted so people should think about the possible consequences before advising a tenant to start involving authorities.
A N-E fault could cause intermittent tripping, but reversing the polarity would give you a L-E fault, which would trip immediately on energisingAny idea what sort of fault would cause an RCD to trip with a polarity reversal ?
Earth to neutral one, of course. 2kohms neutral to earth may cause occasional nuisance tripping, but if that becomes live to earth, then the RCD is pretty much going to trip instantly.Any idea what sort of fault would cause an RCD to trip with a polarity reversal ?
Already taken him to environmental health once and I'll do it again. He's not even put my bond if that deposit thing they legally have to do so wil cost him 2500 to kick me out anyways, and at this point I'll happily take the money lol. The first time I got environmental health involved this test u all keep mentioning was one of the mandatory things that needed doing. I've started a claim with Scottish power/Siemens over leaving me with no electric after smart meters where fitted. They are going to send out a technician to find out how this happend and to check over the electrics. Now the land lord is practically begging me to stop going forward with my claim with Scottish power, which makes me think he's hiding some thing, he was all up for it when he thought he would just get compensated, now all of a sudden he doesn't want them any where near.It wasn't intended to be fun, it was intended to point out that tenants who annoy the landlord get evicted so people should think about the possible consequences before advising a tenant to start involving authorities.
But the meter is screwed to the back board and Henley blocks thats the only place he's been.Just a quick update if any 1 gives 2 shits lol,
Turns out the smart meter "engineer" screwed through a wire that ran to the dining room plug socket, making a certain section of my smart meter "live". Thank god me or my wife didn't touch it.
More importantly, how did you get the word shits past the profanity filter!
You can Daz lolGood point. I'm sure you can't say shits. Can we all say shits?
LL never happy lol, me deffo happy. Thanks for the update....
Is it all sorted? LL happy? you happy?
As for giving shits.... We do give 2 from time to time.
Yes an electrician found the fault, didn't notice it tbh, but when pointed out it's clearly visible.Glad you got this sorted. Did an electrician fault find and do you feel any safer regarding the rest of the installation?
It is screwed to the back box. If you look on the picture to the right of the actual smart meter. There is two boxes with wires from the meter running into them, they are screwed onto a piece of wood, behind the wood runs a grey wire, that's what he screwed through. But the meter is screwed to the back board and Henley blocks thats the only place he's been.
Did he hit a cable behind this looking at the picture it seems doubtful.
So we’re allowed shits, but not ----?
Well that’s strange.
Can we have rubbish?
Oh? That’s not what I typed! Shits with an E instead of an S comes up as “rubbish”
And they put a couple of blanks in the fusebox to cover the holes/spare ways?LL never happy lol, me deffo happy.

Oh no they didn't go that far.And they put a couple of blanks in the fusebox to cover the holes/spare ways?
Well that's pretty shameful. The blanks are pence.Oh no they didn't go that far.
