The England football team are not voting today due to the fact they have difficulty finding the Box, let alone putting a cross into it!!!

We should leave, enough is enough. We may have 2-3 years of un-settlement. That is a small price to pay for the decades to come under our own steam and building up the UK to what we want it to be. The UK will not collapse if/when we leave the EU.

But the EU just might......

But the EU just might......

Yeah but just think about how much money Belgium will get in Taxes from the new and up coming/soon to be integrated Turkey with 60+ Million members!!!!! It is "like for like" in my mind (cough cough cough...... anyone got some Buttercup Syrup???)

Mrs. M is a "Verification Officer" tonight at Leeds Arena for this vote (might see her on the telly again lol).

I have tried everything possible to get her to dump/shred/discard the Stay in Votes..... Money, Brownie points and even sexual favors!!!! But, she is a professional and nothing will change her strong stance for the right of each persons vote to be counted and submitted..... Shame really

I've just got back from happy hour, managed to quaff two bottles of tonic water, and a piece of French Dover Sole, masquerading as cod more probably pollack. Any news yet? Is it garlic and frogs legs or beefy steaky pie? Going to bed soon cos the tonic's gone straight to me head. Curiously if you Brexit nutters get your way, whose your next Prime Minister? Pleeeease don't say Boris. Just see the next G8, Boris and Trump, sounds like a removal company :)

i think boris would make an excellent PM. you did mean Boris Karloff. didn't you?

This is a good thread to follow for the next few hours!

Boris Johnson as PM!!!!! If that happens I would assassinate him myself with a plastic spoon via his left eyeball!!!!

just thinking of the implications of a vote to leave on the younger generation. WOW. it's just like discovering that the earth is not flat and the sun does not orbit the earth.

The thing is that the UK government is out of touch with is voters and the EU is out of touch with the national governments.

A recipe for disaster off you ask me.

Given up watching the BBC now, got a busy day tomorrow.

Wow, didn't expect the leave campaign to be ahead by this much, chaos on the stock markets at the mo, perhaps things might settle down by the end of the day, we shall see.

dear mr. cameron, please make june 23rd a public holiday......... "independence day UK"

That's always the problem with these votey things MW.

My polling station is in my village club where I go every Thursday for a drink with my mates (all brexiters by the way)
I generally vote about 2 minuets to 10, so this time with my vote actually counting for once (safe Tory seat) it's a little bit dangerous.
It's all your fault Andy, you went down the pub instead!

is it time to resurrect my stock of red/black T/E?

I am deeply saddened by the vote. By far my priority was the environment and now we have no legal requirement to abide by the environmental treaties that were in force. These treaties 'may' have just made a difference to global warming and influenced positively the future for our children's children.

On a plus note some things may be cheaper to buy and mortgage rates may go down even further so that balances fairly well against the state of the whole planet and makes it all OK doesn't it!!

protection of the environment can be achieved just as well without the interference of the faceless, unaccountable eu bureau rats . the biggest poluters are india and china. what has the eu done to limit their effects on the environment. same as everything else... bugger all. now we're freed of the meddling numpties, maybe we'll get drinkable water supplied. ours smells like a council swimming pool and tastes foul. if ethiopia can get clean water for £3 a week ( unesco figures) why can't we get it for what we pay?

I'm excited.

very funny, but realise that Boris can connect with the population. he may portray himself as a buffoon, but he's a dark horse.

That's because they produce enough of it to drink, whilst we produce enough to bath, wash cars, water the plants, make sure the football pitches are green etc etc, ooohhh and make beer.

Whilst you guys are praising the virtues of Boris, he comes from the same line of air & graces, Eton educated fat cats as Cameron, for which he was pillared. Trying to understand the difference.

Not sure there is much of a difference.

Most Politicians, of ALL colours are some similar and thats why nearly all of them are out of touch with the "people" these days!

Not sure your going to get 'A Man for all Seasons'.

The next scramble, is going to be embarrassing.

I know our political systems doesn't work like this, but I didn't vote for a Tory government with Boris or Theresa as PM. There should be a GE, with a new government elected. I've never voted labour, always a first I suppose. With Corbyn gone, who the next one being lined up by Labour?

With Scotland and possibly NI out, with a coalition government running what's left. So much for Great Britain rejoining the rest of The World!

Something very strange has happened today in light of the Brexit, our insignificant little Island that many claimed was doomed on its own created a massive shockwave that wiped 2 trillion from the stock markets, tumbles the pound to record lows not seen since 1985 and set panic through all of Europe...What is the strange part here is the FT100 index has just closed on a weekly high of 2.4%, the pound rebounded back and reclaimed most of its losses, Obama dropped his scaremongering and confirmed Britain will not be at the back of the queue many other anti brexit bodies give new positive messages of Britains strength and resilience, France confirms the Calais/Dover deal will remain..... I could continue but it seems the world is respecting us and eager to back our position all while the EU stocks/shares carry on tumbling, panic and shock from all members and the EU stability been questioned...... well I think this last 24hrs has proved our strength in the world, and the Icing on the cake is the resignation of Cameron and the no confidence vote of that other fella :)... a day the UK rocked the world :)

It's not that clear is it?

On a more serious note, a friend of mine has 3 kids at university. All 3 had votes . At home and at university. All 3 could (but didn't) use both!

I was arguing with a " Mate " yesterday because he did the same after listening to him complain for the last year about what a state the country is in because of the eu but then decided he couldn't be bothered to vote because he was to busy with out a spare moment but then proceeded to go to the kfc for an hour at dinner time.

That's cos we are still in the EU, only time will tell, you may be right, you may be wrong, ultimately no one knows.

i see that the bbc has blocked the youtube video of the morecombe and wise sketch in this country. is it because thet're pi$$ed off with the EU exit vote?

From the Telegraph in an article on the worlds reaction to the news of a leave vote.

South Korea reacted to Britain's decision to leave the European Union by announcing that it is willing to consider a bilateral free trade deal with the UK.
Yun Byung-sa, the South Korean foreign minister, told parliament on Friday morning that his ministry will draw up "various measures", including a possible free trade deal with London, Yonhap News reported.

Hopefully the first of many, it will be a rocky road at first but I am very optimistic for the future.

Well that's ok then. South Korea will consider giving us something we already have as a member of the EU.
