that's a 9" cinder/concrete block. add the timber ad the drop is about a foot. ( that's 300millipededs for the young sprogs).What are those cables in capping above the door? They are not in a safe zone and non-compliant if mains voltage, unless they only come down 150mm..

I know...The standards on this forum have really dropped lately. So disappointing.nobody advising a choc block and tape? obviously no builders following this thread.
Fit it above the door, all cables will reach including the SWA.Yeah not long enough. Height is fine but would be directly behind the door.
