Hi All.

I need to extend the cables for a 3 plate ceiling rose/pendant on ground floor ceiling by 450mm. Can I fix the ceiling rose/pendant to the ceiling joist and then run 3 core 0.75mm flex through the plasterboard ceiling to the light fitting. Or, do I have to extend all three 1.5mm T&E cables in MF junction box, and then connect 3 core 0.75mm flex out of ceiling to light fitting ?

Unfortunately all the rooms haves laminate flooring, except the one where I have access.

Any advice will be kindly appreciated.

If the joist is going to become inaccessible then no you can't fit the rose to it. Are you not reinstating the rose?
