Greetings all..

I've just completed the first level of Electrical Installation (City and Guilds Level 1). I've also completed and passed the ECS Health and Safety Assessment.

My Question is, what kind of Jobs can i do in the meantime? I've heard you have to qualified up to Level 2, but that course doesn't start until September 2019.

I live in the Birmingham area, does anyone know of any fully qualified Electricians looking to give someone in my position a chance as an Electricians mate to shadow, learn and gain experience as I go along?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

If you have your ECS labourers card then you could apply with an agency that specialises in electrotechnical Job recruitment. It would be very benificial
to work the year leading up to your level 2 start in September. Get on as many agencies as you can, find that on google or search this forum.

That's the thing, I've just found out today (after taking the ecs health and safety Assessment) that I'm not eligible for any type of ECS card, not even labourers until the level 2 course has been completed.

Someone gave me the wrong information, I was told I could get an ECS card after the completion of the first level.

I have booked a two week course for the cscs card starting January.
