Hi

not sure if this is the right place to ask but i have read all the the threads relating to these things like when you do a cu change who is responible for the full installation?

But what i would like to know is is there anything you would fill out when you go and view a job and find the cu is an old bakerlite re-wirable type with earth bonding that looks like tooth floss?

The reason i ask i have 2 members of the family whos cu are just like this, sent a shiver down my spine when i took a look and may use them as a job for a assetment when the time is right but cant find info on what sort of report i should to prior to doing the upgrade

i know what to do after i install a new cu and update bonding but not what to complete before.

Cheers

Graham

Depends what the client has asked you to do. have they asked you for an inspection of the installation? if so a PIR is the way to go but assuming they know the consumer unit has had it then you need to them an estimate

Hi Smugley

Thanks for that, i have looked at loads of stuff online and not found that one, will have a good read when not looking through beer googles?

Cheers

Graham
