Discuss Fixing a Broken Alarm in the Security Alarms, Door Entry and CCTV (Public) area at ElectriciansForums.net

Yesterday morning the alarm in my house went off without reason, despite entering the code we couldn't get it to stop so my housemate (who had an interview later that day), pulled the panel out of the wall.

This stopped the alarm but now we need to reattach it. There are 7 wires, the red, blue, black and yellow cables are still attached so I will be able to reconnect them correctly. But I am unaware where to reconnect the green, white and brown wires. There are initials next to the different connector inputs, do these give an indication to which wire the input belongs?

If you recommend that I don't attempt this repair myself, how much can I expect to pay for a electrician to complete this job for me?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

if those wires were cut together, probably blown a fuse in the main panel.
