Discuss Fluke T5 or T150? in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

hmm. just checked my T5. 6Ω when probes are shorted. that's diabolical. not used it for Ω, time to contact fluke.

right. T150 has phase rotation, and a fixed probe, that means you don't need 3 hands. it's also got LEDs as well as the LCD display. wins hands down.

Cheers for that Tel I'm only pulling your leg.. I like taking my time over deciding, either ones going to be a good choice so I cant lose!

However... Could someone confirm for certain if the T5 1000 has a clip on the back that means you pop the probe in it when testing so that you dont need a third hand? (no offence Robo, just want to be absolutely certain... my mind seems to work by statistics!!)

yes it does. you can clip 1 probe in.then you have a hand free to stop the bloody thing rolling over like a dog for a belly tickle just as you want to see the reading.

Definitely confirm that, I've used my bosses. There are two clips/slots in the back of the T5 for storing the probes, one works both ways so you end up with a point sticking forward from the tester.
