Its a wet rainy day, no work, so I'm bored. Been trolling, sorry trawling this forum, looking at various threads.

There is a somewhat of an annoying trait I've started to notice by members, and its not just bad spelling or grammar sparksburnout . The trait or mannerism is saying almost exactly the same, almost word for word sometimes, as what someone else has just posted, without acknowledging the previous persons comment.

This trait could be called Echolalia (look it up), or just simply bad manners by some, that don't take the time to read others previous posts. Or its simply they like the sound of their own voice, or text as in this case. Been some today. I'm starting to find it mildly irritating, there said it now. If you've got nothing to say, say nothing at all; Ronan Keating could make a cover of that :)

Crikey I thought you were on about some new flesh eating disease for a minute.

I think that when a debate is in full swing, one can be putting together a post with some evidence, perhaps moving away to get the BGB or other rag. By the time one gets back, others have posted, you're (one is) not going to then read through and delete parts of ones post to be in order with the followers (which have now over taken you) Its a minefield out there - I do get what you mean though, with or without your fancy wording!

There is of course the 'edit' button.

You on about my essay Rpa?

In similar vein, the postings that don't inform, educate or entertain bug me. Typically, they go: "I know nothing about your problem, but I'm sure that someone else here will answer the question". What's that all about???
Hey, I posted that yesterday because all of my brain cell capacity went into the one post. Basically it then went on - 'wait til your father gets home'!

(oh Spicy tortilla roll ... NOT )
I like to post sensible , but as others have said the often the topic has moved on from "the relevant moment" .
How guilty am I 0 -100% ?
Like many things a process of feedback + improvement !
(We are just too polite at times)
(--Un-EDITED-as it was thought and posted)..Hence jumble/ramble

No Pete, just general posting and Midwests issue whilst precipitation and gravity inevitably continue!
The 'acronym' of YES was about your essay!
Thanks

May be it's from someone online who doesn't actually know the answer to the question asked, and doesn't want the poster to think that no nobody is interested, and is informing the poster that there will probably be someone who is at work and maybe knows the answer, or can help, so wait until later, after all none of us know everything, do we?

What worries me most on this forum is things can get a bit hairy sometimes people go too far being critical. I personally don't care too much about criticism or rudeness there is always the ignore button which I have used on one member works fine. And anyway I have rhinoceros skin. But I do wince when someone new comes on and gets flamegrilled answers. Rather goes against the intro at the top "friendly advice" Still its all part of the wonderful tapestry of life.
