I've been out of work with illness for quite some time now but I would really like to get back to it, I currently have C&G 236 parts 1&2 and AM1&2, these were done to 16th edition, I would like to update my qualifications etc..., does anyone know of any funding I could get to help with paying for courses, thanks. I live in Cumbria

Tried Gen2 in Workington, but because I've been on sick a while they couldn't secure funding, which doesn't make sense to me

you are a spark then, you only need a 17th edition course and a cscs and you can get work without any problem, your qualifications are far higher than some of the new so called sparks these days, when did you pass the exams? it will let us know what 17th course you need, I had to take a week course because I took my apprenticship in 1983, but if after I think 1991 ( I may be mistaken) a day may do it for the 17th, and a chimp could pass the cscs, the 17th cost me 600, the cscs around 40-45, HTH, good luck fella.
