That's a great a la Stephen Hawking style rant if ever I heard one! A mate of mine is a plumber, I may have to recite some of that at him when we working together next.
 
I put my arms into a faulty live appliance and got a belt, I assumed someone else had isolated it
what's the next installment.......I crossed the road without looking and got hit by a car, I assumed there was nothing coming

Not sure if this one is funny or not, I certainly wouldn't admit to the mistake and then pronounce I am a professional electrician.

Totally agree with your comment,
We can all make mistakes, and as we go through our working lives we will probably be unlucky enough to receive a belt, and lucky enough to survive the experience and learn by it.
But to open the top of an appliance like a washing machine, and just dive in before checking to see if its unplugged !!
And then to have yourself filmed claiming to be a professional electrician !!
Somebody is taking the part P me thinks.
