Discuss Had to post this! Part II notice anything odd??? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Not at my house it won't, when they phoned to offer me a meter I told them about my decoration and unwillingness to have it disturbed and they kindly said they'd leave me 'til last!

As a matter of interest anyone know about those meters you see in the pic? They are HH meters and have an RS232 and antenae coming out of them so are presumably wireless.

EDMI mk7c.
Yes remote disconnect possible;
Mk7C Smart Electricity Meter - http://www.edmi-meters.co.uk/mk7c-smart-electricity-meter/

And tamper detection/logging;

Tamper Detection and Alarms
Δ Provision for sealing with conventional wire or plastic seals
ΔReverse current sense Option for magnetic tamper detection
Δ Advanced tamper detection and logging
Δ Pre-programmed alarms for meter self-check
Δ Alarms trigger LEDs, enunciators, relay outputs or communications event
Δ Alarms are stored in event logs

Once again @snowhead comes up with the goods literature wise, that was brill. I went down the rabbit hole looking that up and the software. I think the meter might have been disposed of in the process of all the work with the rest of the rubbish. Could be someone might dissemble it or something. I know a man that builds meters like this might have chat with him. I think the subject of "smart" meters bears some deep scrutiny considering the implications of what they can do.
