That's our first grandson mate 19 months old now, he can't get enough of me. If they come round and I'm out working he'll run round shouting for me until someone rings so he can talk to me.

Only seems like 5 minutes since we were carrying him everywhere and feeding every few hours round the clock.
Sleep deprivation, oh happy memories:)

Aye, it does'nt last long & then your left wondering where the time went. My eldest just started her apprenticeship & had to move to be nearer work, seems like only yesterday she was starting in infant school.

In a way it's a bit sad but you have to let go sooner or later. For his first 9 months the daughter and him lived with us, we were distraught when they moved out (never mind the fact it was only 5 minutes walk away hehe)

No, we see him every day without fail. I missed out on too much with our own 3 through working away so I'm trying to miss nothing with him. I've not told the daughter because she'd have been unhappy but I got his first ever smile.

I've hopefully got the pleasure of Grandkids yet to come. I've still got 2 at home, 1 just turned 11 & the other 9 going on 90:D. The 9 year old keeps trying to nick my tools & meters for her toolbox

We weren't expecting hm to come along for another few years yet
Funyy thing that missing tools malarkey, I found my old pyro gear in the youngest son's wardrobe the other week. No clue how it got there because he didn't do it, must have been the fairys again:)

 They're little buggers for nicking tools, those fairies. When my eldest was little I had a cracking pair of pliers that went missing, we looked everywhere we could think of with no luck. About 2 years later, my mate came to do a plumbing job for us & discovers my pliers. There was a small loose board in the Airing cuboard & she'd hidden them under there & forgotten about them, my missus still winds her up about it now:grin:

yes i have a tool fairy at my house as well, it steals the extension lead and battery jigsaw out of my van, which is a real pain when you go to use them and there not there!

i have 3 boys, 23,22 & 17, 15 month old granddaughter from middle son.

oh the joys of being a granny! LOL

Oh yes I can have anything that's better than what he has or it magically disappears, when I got a new tool bag I didn't even get chance to put my tools in it!
