I have been asked to help a friend with some fairly simple wiring changes at their home. One of the tasks is to wire a 220v circuit for a garage heater a couple feet from a flush mount service panel. No problem, but--- the electrician who wired the home many years ago provided a flexible metal conduit out of the panel for the future heater and the conduit terminates out of the drywall at an angle, much like a stub out above a drop ceiling for comm lines. How can I make a proper, safe connection to the stub out? I'd like to attach a j-box to the stub out, then run mc cable to the j-box. Not entirely sure how to properly use the existing stub out.
Thanks for any advice
