Hi I'm trying to setup a circuit for halogen lightbulbs dimmable. I've got 3 X Gu10's bulbs I'd like to setup a circuit with a dimmer switch with I.R remote - model is IR12b dimmer.

*Is it possible ?
*Do I need a transformer as part of the circuit can anybody help me please b.t.w I am running this through electric mains.

Thanks Dan with big heart

GU 10 halogens work on 230V. that dimmer is for LEDs. output is 12 -24V constant current. you will need to use 12V LED lamps.

Tel is right, if you already have the dimmer then it will only work with constant current LEDs, not with the GU10 230V bulbs.
If you do not yet have the dimmer but have the bulbs then getting a 230V dimmer with remote control might be easier.
