Discuss High integrity or split load CU in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net

I rang my wholesalers today and asked for a price on a high integrity consumer unit saying it needs to have the 3 neutral bars. he left me 5 mins and rang me back with a price.

He said it comes with a 100a isolator and that's it, I asked how is it split... Like a 5+5+2 ect.... He then said "what you on about? You asked for a high integrity board not a split load" any other wholesalers I've asked in know exactly what I mean.. So which one of us is wrong?

I've always understood high integrity to be pre configured as main switch with useable ways on it and 2 x RCD's split across remainder of board.

There always seems to be confusion with wholesalers of what each means...

Hi TPES, You are correct, but perhaps might have been better describing it as a High Integrity Dual RCD Board. He is arguably correct, offering a Main Switch Board, as a "High Integrity Board" because it has no RCDs, but that's not the industry accepted definition. Doh!
