How do you approach your Rewires?

Personally I always start on the upstairs lights. Then up sockets and move down. Be interesting to see where everyone starts.

If it's an empty refurb, I start in the room that has no other trades in...... if it's occupied, play it by ear as everyone of those if different.

Start at the top and work down, ending at the CU.

But not necessarily circuit by circuit. Day one is always upstairs lights but after that depends on the house.
So if you have the floor up in the back bedroom you do the power in that room and the lights in the room below at the same time, and the power below if no suspended floor below.

Sometimes it was easier to split the power circuits front and back rather than up and down.

That sound chaotic! You need order and method and a good plan to work efficiently and make the most money on a job.

I do need to be a bit more orderly when doing rewires, I just can never get in to it. I look at it and think oh god not another floor board to pull up etc...

Yes but if you plan it right then you only have to take it up once, and you end up taking up a lot less boards too.

Some of the spaces I've wriggled into in the bowels of ships...bilge, love it!!!
Almost got stuck upside down once in the keel!
