Hi i would like to know if is possible to install 10 electric shower (8.5kw) in one hotel if is possible what changes do I have to make to the general electrical distribution board

Thank you

i just need a diagram and the modification
jean-marc. forgive me if I have the wrong end of the stick here, but it seems from the question above "I just need a diagram and the modification" , that you intend going ahead with your plans regardless of the advice given so far, is that correct?

I ASKED FOR ADVICE'S BUT NO ONE IS ABLE TO GIVE ME ONE
I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO SIMPLE IF YOU CAN HELP YOU WELCOME IF NOT THAT FINE
You have been given the right advice by Members, you need a survey by both the DNO and a qualified Electrical Contractor, if you choose not to agree with the advice, and go ahead regardless, then on your head be it, oh and stop shouting,

so you're planning on installing a total load of 350A onto what is probably a 100A supply. buy a pack of BS1361-II fuses or speed dial your local DNO.

every sunday morning i see about 10 old boilers jogging. i think the idea is to keep fit longer and be coffin dodgers, but from the look of stress on their mushes, i don't think they'll last for much longer.

Hi everyone,
Could I have lots of free advice please including diagrams.
I know it's Sunday morning and you've all been hard at work all week but if you could just give me the advice I need now that would be great. Oh, by the way I will SHOUT AT YOU IF YOU DON'T.
Many thanks.

I can understand this bloke's frustration. I've been on a classic mini forum asking how to put a tractor engine in one. I just wanted diagrams and for them to tell me how, but they kept telling me answers I wasn't asking for. Some people.
Yes but this Bloke doesn't have a clue, whereas you might have a clue on how to fit a Tractor engine into a Mini, and were just asking for opinions. Forum rules don't give us the luxury pf giving out how to advice Andy78, and on top of that, Matey got all wound up, the advice given was sound advice, well meant, it was like, "tell me what to do, and I'll do it my way anyhow".

It's easy Andy , we managed to put a CAT tyre on this pick up.
Ps. This is a stock photo, but we did similar to this for a site safety film.

Was a joke Pete. I was likening matey's request to putting a tractor engine in a mini. Sarcasm never translates well over the internet. ;)

I THINK HE MEANS PLUMBING BARMITZVAS IN PLACE OF THE ELECTRIC SHOWERS AND PLUMBING IN HOT WATER FROM A CENTRAL SOURCE.

OR

HE COULD BE PUTTING A RADIATOR IN EACH SHOWER THAT THE GUSET CAN GUG WHILE GETTING A COLD SHOWER.
Ahhhhhhh.......he’ll want the wet pants forum now then......that’ll go just as well I’m sure :)

"Guset can Gug" WTH does that translate to in English GBDamo?

WELL GIVE US SOME ADVICE ON THE EXISTING SUPPLY 3 PHASE/SINGLE PHASE. EXISTING LOAD. EXISTING CUT OUT FUSE. CAN THE EXISTING BE UPGRADED IF NECESSARY?

Sounds more like a B&B if it's only 10 rooms. Chances of the water supply being able to do 10 electric showers are about as slim as the chances of the electrical supply being able to do it.

It might all work fine until the place gets a block booking, with most showers likely to be needed at very similar times:rolleyes:

The OP probably only wants confirmation of what he's already decided. Chances are he's posted the same question on 10 forums and if one comes back with a go that'll be the one he'll accept, ignoring the other 9.
Agree a chancer by any other name

Easy, 500L(ish) tank and a pumped circulation.

I rejected a large hotel near us who wanted 5 8.7kW showers installed as part of adaptation works. 200A 3P Supply. Would have possibly handled it just about but woukd have been irrisponsible to do it with the existing loading. Already combi showers in so had to reinstall new ones with flow switches for the pumps.

Dont see many hotels with electric showers.

This isn't something anyone could answer without a site visit so realistically there is no point in trying to give you advice as no one here has a crystal ball (that I'm aware of). Also with caps on It feels like your screaming at me

Most likely not !
Not without significant upgrades to your main DB and power feed.
Not cheap not easy but do-able.

what is your current service rated at ?
what is your current loading ?
is your service single phase or three phase ?
