Hello everyone...

There are a total of 4 cables entering the junction box at the top of the staircase.

Two 12/2 cables are coming in through the top of the box.

One 12/2 cable is coming through the bottom of the box, with a 12/3 cable coming through beside it.

The three 12/2 cables have their whites together with a wire nut.

Two of the 12/2 cables have their black wires attached to the black wire of the 12/3 cable with a wire nut.

So that leaves one of the 12/2 cable's black wire available for use on a switch, and the red wire and the white wire coming from the 12/3 cable available for attaching to a switch.

The box at the bottom of the staircase has one 12/3 cable entering it.

At the top of the stairs I would like to install a 3-Way Toggle Switch and Receptacle with the Receptacle always hot.

At the bottom of the stairs, a regular 3-way switch is already installed...

With what I have described can I do this install successfully?

And if yes, what wires would be used to connect to the 3-way combo switch/receptacle in order for it to work and also have the outlet always hot.

OneDrive Here are some photos, thank you for very much for your assistance!

I found out the answer from another forum...here it is,

yes

The three 12/2 cables have their whites together with a wire nut.
This will be your neutral for the receptacle. Add a pigtail and connect to silver screw.

Two of the 12/2 cables have their black wires attached to the black wire of the 12/3 cable with a wire nut.
This is your hot wire. Disconnect from 12/3 black and connect to common on the switch combo device with a black pigtail.

So that leaves one of the 12/2 cable's black wire available for use on a switch
Connect this black to the black from the 12/3 you disconnected above.

and the red wire and the white wire coming from the 12/3 cable available for attaching to a switch.
Connect to the traveller screws of the combo device.
