Just a quick question, just wondered how long it take to get my JIB Card through the post as i need my one re-graded.

I sent mine off for renewal a month ago and just checked online and it says 6 weeks from them receiving it on the 14th October. More like 10 weeks!

thers a number you can ring and they can tell you how far along the process your card is i cant find the number but they ask for your NI number as a referamce when you ring

sent my papers to JIB via recorded mail, they signed for them on 16th September. Checked online and it says received on 4th October, some 18 days after they signed for it! It says 6 weeks on the website but obviously failed to mention how ridiculously slowly they process things, as of today some 33 days after receipt it still isn't even showing as checked. Good job I don't need this in a hurry to smash some work out and pay a mortgage! I would be homeless by now.

It took about 2 months for mine to come back.
I actually received it on the day my old one ran out.

I've got the exactly same situation
Jib received my application 3 weeks ago recorded delivery and still no sign of the progress on the track and trace!
What I can't understand is they cashed the cheque 3 days ago.
I'm not even going to bother to ring as they are so unhelpful

Apparently, they cash the check, when they are dealing with your application.

to the sparks with a gold card. Im soon to be getting one of these. Does this gold card exemt me from haveign to sign up with a scheme so that I can become a self employed house basher

Not as far as I am aware mate,
can`t see why you would need a jib card to do domestic house bashing?
Just out of interest what did you have to do to get a gold card?
