been working in the trade for 5 years now, i'm experienced in pretty much all aspects(industrial, commercial, domestic) also do lots of breakdown work on machines and industrial control panels i've even rewound motors (supervised, not good enough to do it on my own haha). i have a company van and work unsupervised all day everyday however i'm still only being payed ÂŁ9 ph so i'm putting all my effort into getting my nvq level 3 so i can get my jib card. now my question is does it really make it any easier to find a higher paying job or will i still be hindered by being relatively inexperienced?

5 years experience following completion of your core college training will bag you a jib card no problem if you do the nvq l3.
i wouldnt call you inexperienced.
and yes the gold card opens many doors in the subby / agency commercial sector ;-)
