Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know where I can buy a kopex/flexible conduit cutter? A few have said they exist but I can't find one anywhere! I have seen the RotoCut tool but not sure if this is what I'm after.

Thanks

Hacksaw is ok and you have to cut at 90 degree angle but when I do loads of it on every job I go on I like to make life easy! The RotoCut is in the Apdaptaflex catalogue but I can't find anywhere that sells them!

Could you not get away with using cutters for normal plastic conduit? I have a pair u use for cutting plastic pipe for fire alarm sniffer systems alternatively as mentioned junior hacksaw do the job

take your pick.....

Can't say I blame you in some respects I'm a bugger for buying tools especially specialist ones, don't get much call in my job working on fire systems apart from ridiculously expensive programmers more just dedicated size Allen keys or torx drivers

I can't think of anything other than a hack saw that would make your job easier....it only takes a 30 secs to cut and de bur...its not that hard....on the other hand, an apprentice would make it easier on you....lol

Easiest thing to do is make a wooden jig. Get a piece of 5 inch wide timber or mdf about a foot long. Fix a piece of 2x2 along one edge and set the copex against it. Get another piece of 2x2 and sandwich the copex tightly then fix in position. Now cut a slot through the two pieces of 2x2 in the centre with a saw. Now it's easy to pop the copex into the jig and cut with a hacksaw. You will find the jig holds it steady and stops it snaking and gives a straight cut.

I have a stanley tool box with a groove in the lid that allows you to rest circular pipes etc and cut them and as already mentioned a junior is the best bet or a hacksaw with 32 teeth per inch anything less and youll get a mess
