Hi, we got LED downlights fitted in our new build. They are 3W replaceable bulbs. I was looking to increase the lighting in the room by fitting higher output ones. I can either fit new bulbs or new fittings. I was looking at the Click Inceptor 7W range if I replace the whole fitting. Any experience if these are good? Or good quality bulbs to replace the 3W ones with?

Thanks.

I would try a 5+ w LED GU10 replacement lamp - easier and cheaper. 3w is not enough IMHO

5 watt SMD would be a vast improvement over the 3watt torch bulbs

You say that..... I've just swapped 8 x 50W 12V's for 8 x 3W JCC's on Wednesday for a customer and you couldn't see the difference at halfway time.

Megaman MODO 4.5w

Warm white are marginally brighter than a standard 50w halogen, Cool White and Daylight are even brighter
50,000hr life
£5 a lamp

Steer clear from toolstation or LED hut specials, they wont last as long as stated

I just looked on the led hut website and it looks expensive. I've just bought a load for my own house and paid a lot less from edmundsons.

Thanks for all the replies. I was in Costco yesterday and noticed they were selling Feit 6.5W twin packs for £15, reasonable price and with Costco returns policy I thought I would get a pack to try. They are quoted as 350lm, not am much as the Click Inceptors which were 400lm but they have made a huge difference, much brighter now and instantly on rather than the half second delay of the old lamps. I think I will just go with these as returning things to Costco is so easy if they do have issues in the future.

Superior COB? - 6 Watt GU10 COB LED Spotlight - GU10 LED Bulbs - LED Bulbs try here these are good not cheap and you shouldnt make the mistake of cheap leds alot of the led replacement lamps have a beam angle of 35 to 40 degrees these have a 60 degree beam angle the other down lights i have used are deltec installed over 200 never had one fail these also have a 60 degree beam angle light rabbit also do a retro fit down light for those old style R63 fittings 10 watt 120 degree beam angle the light output is brilliant
