Wired a light switch up which I thought was identical but obviously not cause 1 light on the switch won’t turn off but the other side works 100% the switch controls landing light and bathroom light , bathroom light won’t turn off the but the other side does , there are 9 wires going in to it , mostly brown 1 grey/brown sleeve 2 black /brown sleeve 6 brown any help please, I know at least of the wires in wrong but which one ? Thanks

Looks a bit of a muddle although I can't see the pic very well. The stairs side should be the one the has the black and grey wires in as they are running between the two switches that control the stairs. The bathroom should just have live into the common, switch live out of the L1. I would say. And I can't see the diagram that well.

I'd say if you seriously want someone on here to tell you what's wrong try and get a better pic and a more clear description.

Edit: I realise my comment isn't particularly helpful, sorry. A better diagram would be a good idea though
 
I seem to remember a previous thread about this problem that may never have been solved.
