I was wondering about 'lollipopping' a kitchen I'm redoing. As it stood half of the sockets / fixed appliances were on a 4mm radial (junction boxes everywhere in the loft) feeding other rooms as well, and the other half were on a 2.5 RFC, also feeding other rooms.
I have now rationalised the layout by getting rid of the RFC from the kitchen completely and leaving the 4mm radial feeding it, and a couple of unused bedroom single sockets. As it is I have fed the kitchen carrying on in 4mm, but the physical layout would lend itself to a ring. Would it have been acceptable to run two 2.5 legs of an RFC from one of the radial junction boxes to make it a lollipop, or should the 'stick' be a 6mm?
