Hi, I've come across a system with no apparent main fuse. The supply comes into a metal hinged box with the words BIG Ltd on it. This is boxed inside a cupboard so I can't open it or tell if it is sealed. The tails then come out to the meter and into a double pole connector block. This splits the supply to two old cartridge fuse boards. Has anyone come across this before. I guess I'll have to ask the DNO to fit a modern fuse and isolator as I'm installing a consumer unit but an advice would be gratefully received. If I could work out how to post a picture on this forum I would upload them.

as lee said ^^^^. and to post a pic., first save your pic in desktop at low res. then click add image in your reply task bar. select from computer, then d/click your desktop image, then upload.

might even have fused N, so as UK said. get DNO to replace.

I've clicked insert image and it asks for a URL, there is no option "from computer".

Try clicking go advanced and then the icon that's looks like a piece of paper with a paper clip.

Or the other option is to upload the pic to photo bucket, this will give the image a URL, copy and paste the URL in the option you found earlier.
