Had my MCS inspection today and we got through with no non-compliances.

We're really chuffed and it feels like a weight of my mind.

Our inspector was great but it is true what everyone says, get your paperwork in order because this is 95% of the visit.

Hopefully I can be of a little help to others while they try and get through it.

The amount of paperwork is staggering and unusual for most of us sparks.

Can you keep us posted as to how much work you get, I am thinking about it myself but as yet cannot justify the money.

How many courses are involved?

Only one course for us (although one of our guys did the QMS course to help out).

I'll let you know how we get on. We plan on advertising locally and see how it goes.

Well done
Have recently started on this rocky road
Have hopefully got a course sorted in Dec and hope to be up and running some time in the new year.
Will be interested to hear how you get on. Who did you do your MCS through?

I think you can expect most of your day to be taken up by your QMS manual. If you can get that right, you shouldn't go far wrong. Most of the rest of the stuff should be familiar to electricans anyway (risk assessment, calibration certs etc.)
