MCS Renewables

Hi
We are currently MCS (three technologies ) and Part P with Elecsa.
Our renewal date is within the first week of April 2011 and Elecsa want £1644.
Napit however only want £1322 this year dropping to £1260 for following year.

For a purely financial decision I am leaning towards Napit being as in my humble opinion all of the schemes want quantity of membership over quality of membership and nobody ever evicts the rogues. So we may as well join the cheapest scheme.

We know very little about Napit so any input would be great ..

Thanks

Just had our mcs audit with them today, really helpful and made the whole experience a lot more 'plesant' than I imagined. Havent had any other dealings with them bar the girls in the office who all seem really helpful.

Hi There,

We specialise in MCS Certification Support and work with all the main certification bodies happy to discuss with you if you like.

Regards

im with Napit and they have been great , NICEIC ask for to much

Hi There,

No problem, there are quite a few to choose from just have a look at the initial cost, the cost for each year and the cost for additional technologies.

Happy to speak about it if you need us.

@EasyMCS

If you're going to use the board to market your services, then please tell us what your costs are and what they cover, and which certification bodies are better for which type of organisation.

For instance I am not an NICEIC electrician (I employ them) I had a look around and NAPIT seemed to understand running it as a business. Real input would be appreciated.

For example if you are an NICEIC electrician IF and or WHY would they be better to register with them?
What so good about each and why.

Some real input please.

Hi there,

All MCS Certification bodies assess to the same standard. The only differentiating factor is the amount they charge for assessment, the ongoing charge, the charge for extra technologies and also the technologies they cover. For example not all companies cover wind turbines?

Just some thoughts.

Hi - im with Napit, and have been since 2005, for Part P and new MCS - i feel they cater more for the smaller company such as myself, there always helpful, and my area contact (Peter Collinge) is really helpful and makes me feel at ease with things i dont understand, and also when renewal comes around its the same friendly face.

Cant answer about Elecsa, but Napit must be doing something right as they have grown a lot over the last few years.

Hope this helps.
