Discuss metal conduit Running multiple singles through a metal clad box in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi . Im running some conduit , a long horizontal with metal clad boxes , with vertical runs to a term box for light fittings and a couple of smoke alarms . Was going to use 4 way boxes dropping down to the sockets and up to the light s. Is it acceptable to run them through the metal clad boxes and cut out the 4 way boxes . Its 4mm radial with loop in lights and feed for smokes . Im thinking no but it would be neater and of course cheaper . Seem to remember that its bad practise to run cables theough accessory boxes .

Any thoughts or experiences gratefully recieved
