Mr Ed

Hi,

Has anyone got any ideas on how to fix old batteries ?. I hear you say buy new ones but
Some chap on ebay is selling some info on repairing them.

Cheers Ed

what you do ( and this is only for ni-cads. won't work on N-Mh or Li-ion ) is open the battery pack up, then apply 12V from a car battery to each cell for 2 seconds reverse polarity. i.e + to -. then recharge.

Those prices are crazy, I just got some replica makita battery's from Axminster that come with a 5 year guarantee which were cheaper than those prices
