Outdoor socket to replace existing indoor one

Good afternoon.

I’ve recently moved into my new home. I’ve taken down a conservatory and bagged up the existing indoor socket that is now exposed to the elements.

I’ve bought an outdoor socket and I’m looking to simply replace the existing one, using the existing wires. There isn’t a recess cut into the brick and the flex has been threaded through the wall.

Is there anything I should be aware of before undertaking this task? I’m competent with regards to simple internal electrical tasks, but this will be my first time doing something external.

put a small drain hole in the bottom of the box, they always leak and will fill up with water.
