Is this a Standby Set, or a Base Load set up? Things to consider:
Fuel Storage, tank bund needs to be sized so that it can contain all of the fuel in the storage tank, should there be a leak.

Signage, ensure all signage is up to standard.

H&S ensure you have the require First aid equipment.
Fire extinguishers, escape routes clearly marked.
Permit to work requirements, Adequate locks on doors etc, Only Authorised staff are allowed to enter unescorted.

Sighting of exhaust system, ease of access to building.

Yes, I realise that.
I assume it’s a permanently installed generator for back up.
Unless of course, he’s talking about a power station.

Main thing you need to know, is that there should be a change over switch to disconnect the grid when it fires up.

What about requirements for generator room dimension or does exist any particular regulations for it.

I would suggest contacting a generator supply company. The company we use are the wrong end of the country for you but try Dieselgenerators.co.uk they are based down in the South of England.

As David mentions, contact a specialist as they will give you the minimum clearance required around the generator for maintenance purposes, there are no regulations that give guidance on the room size.

In addition to the need to vent the exhaust, you will also need to provide supply and extract air to the room to enable the generator to maintain its temperature. The supply air duct is typically a bell mouth opening positioned next to the radiator.

Other things to consider are is this located on the ground floor? i.e. you don't want to be designing an installation where the end users has to transport fuel up the stairs or in a lift - CDM issues.

Where will the exhaust vent to? i.e. if its through a wall which backs onto a public foot path, the local authority will not like it.

Will noise from the generator cause issues with the locals?

I have to make a design for generator room with all installations ( ventilation, air supply, exhaust) and obviously all wiring

Don't forget EM lighting either, non slip flooring, emergency exits large entry doors for getting large equipment in and out.
