Hi,
I see bonds like the one below from time to time, what was the point apart from ensuring that an installation fault to earth would give you quite a tingle?

some clever plumbers about. this one defies gravity and makes the water run sideways.
 
When the 15th came out we were instructed to bond any metal work in sight. Some councils had us bonding the grab handle on plastic baths and the handles on the wall which are to assist disabled to get ad off the loo and as said above metal window frames and rads. in bedrooms

But it was all a myth....if you read the relevant regs none of the sillyness was actually required. I recall going into a wholesaler at the time and the guy refusing to give me 4.0mm earth wire as he insisted everything now had to be 10mm and I would be breaking the law!
