I've got a problem with heating system I've just installed,
A central 3 zone programmer controls 16 electrical rads via a power manager using the pilot wire system.
There are 3 types on rads, Oiled filled with 5 settings, cheap element with simple thermostat and 2 Towel rail with thermostat control.
The "cheap" heaters work fine as do the towel rail ones, its the more expensive oil filled ones that are causing a problem.
The oil filled ones appear to be ignoring the pilot wire signals. I have a few cheap heaters on the same pilot wire as the oil ones and the cheap ones do get controlled.
Testing by changing from comfort to frost the heater should shutdown - cheap ones do, the oil ones stay fully on
Can anyone point me to a document that has the various voltages on the pilot wire for the various settings IE comfort, ECO, Frost ..etc
I can find loads on stuff on the web about heaters using the pilot wire but none giving the actual voltages.
Thanks
Lee
