Hi guys. Firstly my apologies for posting a question that in my opinion has an obvious answer but I have started to doubt myself.

a friend of my brothers has just had a rewrire completed and the CU they fitted is a plastic one. My brother only noticed as I have just finished his rewrire and had been explaining the changes with AMD 3 to him. The spark hasn't finished yet but has told my brothers friend that it complies although it is plastic??? The CU is located in a domestic hallway and not in a cupboard of any description.

As I started to doubt my sanity I searched online for the same unit and found it sold at superlecdirect.com and in the description is states that it's Sutable for domestic installation.

can someone please confirm I haven't missed something and I'm not going mad. This guy is pulling a fast one isn't he? Or are there now plastic amd3 boards??

Cheers guys. Glad to know I've not gone mad. I've told him to pull the installer up over it and refuse to pay unless it's sorted. I don't even think this guys registered with a scheme, he's just after a fast buck. Looks like I might be going over to have a look at what else he has done tomorrow evening.

good old 'pay cheap pay twice'
