hi guys

after a little advice for pricing on an extra flush mounted socket. Property has
concrete floors.

now for a surface mounted double socket i usally quote arround £45.00 which is 1
hours labour plus matirials which i think is a fair price.

now i would estimate 2.5 to 3 hours labour for a flush mounted ( chase too cieling,
chase backbox, floorboard lift and replace in room above, wire circuit, backfill chase and finally test and certify. so would £90.00 sound a fair price

manythanks

I did similar today, replace a single socket with a FSU, then run cable under the floorboards to 2 flush mount double sockets.
Took around 3 hours start to finish. Need to go back tomorrow to connect up the new sockets - plaster was still wet, so I left it to set.
£60.
I thought that was reasonable, I would have been happier with a little more, but the customer may not have had it done then.

Also, if you quote £250, then they will never have it done. Round here (E. Mids), a typical price for a new socket is £30 - 40. *

sounds about right to me. if anything a little on the low side.

£30-£40 is a callout charge inc. 30mins labour. (or a delboy& rodney pricefor a socket)

£90 too low telectrix ?

£30-40 for a flush mounted socket thats just not worth the time and effort alanl. maybe for a surface mounted but not for a flush mounted chased and plastered.

£90 -£120 depending how far to travel, how much trouble moving beds/wardobes etc. to lift floor, it's half a day gone at the best.
