Hi people,

Recently I am doing rewires using conduit however this is a pain and slow, also it is impossible to cover all areas what are your experiences and any tips ?

As I had a few properties where rats have bitten wire including twin and earth, rj45 and coax.

swa on the socket circuit under floorboards on the ground floor. thats where you most likely to encounter the little buggers. run everything else on 1st floor or in the loft, they not supposed to wander in there a lot.

I take it you don't do much work out here in the countryside? Rats, tree rats and mice will almost certainly hit the loft first

I've re-wired old flats which at a guess were circa 1970's and they were wired in a type of T&E with a heavy duty steel wire braiding on the outside of the cable, I've never seen it since but it would be ideal for situations such as this.
