I am looking to join a body (probably NICEIC as most commonly known).

As you know, one of the requirements is to offer 2 jobs for inspection. My parents need a new CU and a friend needs a run of new sockets in his garage. Iv offered to do these but on researching it seems I may still need to notify the council and be taxed heavenly for the privilege. This will add around £600 according to their websites?

Any advice please…
- Do I need to notify the work for NIC inspection?
- Is there a means of having to work checked and notified by another registered spark?
- Any other suggestions.

What exactly do I get for the fee to the council?

I just could be the difference in starting out now or having to wait again.

Thanks
Ian
