Hi everyone, firstly, this isn't a spam post!

You've probably all come across safe isolation lockout kits that are available, some of you may even own a kit. The kits available are fairly comprehensive, so this is a question aimed at purely domestic engineers who might not need all of the contents of a comprehensive kit; what would you expect a low cost (sub £25) lockout kit to contain?

Most important would be a sign in a variety of languages warning people not to attempt to energise any circuits. Would need space for someone's telephone No.
No idea about the rest, I guess some small padlocks and some other bits.

Because I knew it would gripe you and Tony ;)

In all seriousness, I stand corrected - I was reffering to those who work purely in domestic environments that need no industrial lock out mechanisms.

Don't kid yourself.

The day is coming when there will be only one language spoken in this country and it won't be English.

It's gonna be ....

... GEORDIE!!!

Surely this would be better served by a universally recognised ''Danger/warning'' sign/notice, much like those seen on road signs. I'd hate to think how many languages you would need to include on that warning notice where you are in the East End of London....??

Well as I see it, 1) a warning notice, 2) a device that fits 95% of all breakers, 3) a padlock.
recently I bought a lockout that you tighten on to the toggle with a screwdriver then put a lock through the hole, fits nearly all breakers and cost around a fiver from cpc.

Cheers phil - was it a brass lock?
I had brass locks and plastic ones from my large set, just wanted a breaker attachment to keep in the toolbox, will post a pic for you.
