A friend of mine is moving into a house with a three phase supply. Now..
Picture this:
It's summer and it's daytime. There's nothing on but the radio. Lunch rolls round and the homeowner whacks the cooker on.
Is the excessive Neutral current/wasted electricity something to worry about?
Ditto with a 6KW Heatrae Saida. This will be used in the summer, when the wood-fire is not used.
He intends to retire to this house and he is basing all costs (roof, heating, kitchen, bathroom, windows, etc) on a life of thirty years.
Speaking pragmatically please, would your natural reaction, after a life-time of Sparking, be to:
a)buy 3p appliances where-ever possible to keep the load imbalances to a minium?
b)Make the effort to change the house over to 1ph?
c) say meh/pfff and enjoy your retirement?
Thanks
Dom.
