Chaps,

I notice the Schuco Rail length calculation is "22 mm + [number of modules x (module
width + 21 mm)]".

I'm guessing this leaves zero gap at the end of the rail after the end-clamps.

Are Schuco expecting their end-clamps to be flush with the end of the rail then?

DomB, When we first tried the Schuco rail, it appeared that the step on the end clamp was meant to hang off the end of the rail, however, on reaching the end of the rail, there was then a couple of centimeters sticking out, so, it appears the end clamp is indeed meant to finish fluch with the rail end.

The Schuko calc is spot on and leaves absolutely no room for error. Until you are happy fitting accurately, add about 50-100mm to the overall length. they can be cut back once fitted quite easily. Initially I was not happy with the end clamps being so close to the end of the rail, just the cautious engineer in me.....
