Discuss Shaver socket - no earth in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

make it 10 bob and they'll sell you the brewery.

It's gone .. flattened .. demolished - it has ceased to exist!

There's a bit of an open cast coal mine on part of the site - slap-bang in the middle of town!

The Federation Brewery which is where Brown Ale moved to has suffered the same fate - but without the coal mine - so it's made in Yorkshire now - or anywhere by anybody who buys a licence it seems.

Hello again

seems this thread has created a bit of banter!!

The socket it part of the lighting circuit which is earthed and it protected by an rcu. If there is nothing i can do other than get a spark in i will have to isolate the wires as i plan to tile around the socket tomorrow and have tiled up to it so really dont want to take all the tiles down.

Excuse my ignorance but can the socket be earthed to a water pipe boxed in behind the toilet cistern or is this asking for trouble?

give it a couple more years and they'll have it tasting like cat pi$$, just same as mike's brush cleaner creamflow.
