Dear All,
I am investigating.....
My business has installed over 100 Solar PV installations both Domestic and Commercial.
We also add management systems to out installations that monitor both PV generation and house consumption. We take the spare (free) energy and use it via trickle feed to hot water tanks, plug in radiators, oil filled radiators, slow cookers whatever. They switch on and off as and when there is enough energy to power the appliance.
OK, a transmitter located by the DB communicated with intelligent plugs or switch in the case of the hot water tank. This transmitter runs off 4 AA batteries which last 2/3 months.
Is it possible to spur a socket from the DB (say the ring trip) so I can plug the transmitter in (it has this facility). Or is this a no no.
Thanks in advance.
Ian
